Tales of the Shire has been delayed to July 2025

Upcoming Lord of the Rings life sim Tales of the Shire has been delayed to July 2025.

Developer Weta Workshop Game Studio announced the delay on X yesterday (February 20th), stating they’re “taking a little longer to ensure that every Hobbit, on every platform, can enjoy the same cosy experience”.

“We want this game to feel like a warm hug from Middle-earth, and we are making sure that no matter where you play, you’ll feel right at home in The Shire.”

Weta Workshop ended the statement by thanking fans for their patience. Will you be buying Tales of the Shire despite the most recent delay?

Tales of the Shire will now be released on Jul 29th for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox.
