Cat cafe sim Calico is getting new DLC this winter

Cat cafe management sim Calico is getting new DLC, developer Peachy Keen Games and co-publishers Whitethorn Games and Maple Whispering Limited have announced.

The new DLC, titled Neat Things, will launch sometime this winter for Nintendo Switch and PC for $4.99. It requires the base game to play, but it adds the Neat Things Scavenger Hunt quest, a mission given to you by your aunt that sends you across the entire island in search of “neat things”.

It also adds a new area – Clover Cove – where you can meet Nahla the Mermaid, as well as two new mini-games at Cutie City arcade, aquatic-themed furniture and decorations, and new animal companions you can invite to your cafe, including a racoon, axolotl, elephant, golden retriever, and a familiar cat!

The adorable, pastel-coloured game sees you create, run, and expand the cat cafe of your dreams in a whimsical open world where you can encounter animals, befriend and name them, and invite them to live at your cafe.

There’s cooking, collectable clothing to find throughout the world to customise your character, and the ability to decorate your cafe to your heart’s content with furniture for both humans and animals.

Calico is available now for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. The Neat Things DLC will launch later this year for Nintendo Switch and PC only.
