Developer Le Catnip Collective and publisher Team17 have delayed multiplayer game Jumping Jazz Cats to later this year.

The game, which was announced in October, takes place in the Ellington Estate cartoon mansion and tasks you, as cats, with completing team-based mini-games with friends.

An apology was issued on Le Catnip Collective’s X and on Team17’s website, saying “Firstly, we want to apologise to our community – we understand this is not the news you want to hear.”

Confirming a 2025 launch date, the devs revealed the delay would give the devs time to polish the game to “create the best possible launch”, adding that the delay was a “tough decision” but one made to provide fans with the best online party game experience.

The studio and publisher then confirmed that a demo of the upcoming game on Steam, giving fans a chance to meet the cats they’ll be playing as and to get some hands-on experience before a full launch later this year.
