Two-person indie dev team River and Oak has revealed their upcoming narrative game Lern Island Letters is launching next week on January 13th.

The game is set on a remote island, and you play as a postman who is tasked with sorting mail for the island’s five residents, but there’s more to the game.

Without opening their mail, you’ll have to uncover the unusual habits and secrets of each of the residents while trying to save the peaceful island from its fate.

Despite being a narrative investigation game, there’s minimal reading as you can’t open mail. Instead, you need to piece together subtle clues to solve the game’s mystery and save the island.

Priced at £2.99/$2.99/€2.99 on Steam, the game offers a short 30-minute experience in English or French and will launch on January 13th.
